How it works?
How do I set it up?
- Purchase BerrySnooper and download the software.
- Install it on your BlackBerry.
- Configure BerrySnooper on your device by signing in with the username and password that was emailed to you.
- Select the email addresses to which you want to send location tracking info.
- Optionally, enable the SMS number to which you want to send location alerts.
- Define the alert interval. If your SIM card is replaced by someone, you will continue to receive alerts with this frequency.
- BerrySnooper is now armed and ready and will protect your device no matter where you are!
So what do I do if I forgot my Blackberry somewhere and don't know where it is?
- Send an email to your BlackBerry email address.
- BerrySnooper will get triggered as soon as your email reaches the your lost 'berry.
- BerrySnooper will grab your device location from the built-in GPS.
- It will then connect to Google Maps and download a map for your present location, identify its current location and email the map back to you as an attachment.
What happens if someone steals my 'berry and then changes the SIM card?
- Whenever your BlackBerry boots with a non-registered SIM, BerrySnooper will be activated automatically.
- Even if the new SIM doesn't have data service configured, BerrySnooper will be able to report its location to you via SMS (text message).
- BerrySnooper will put itself into "tracking mode" automatically and will frequently send you emails or text messages with its present location.
- Now all you have to do is call the cops and get your device back!
